(Ad) With the pre-Christmas frenzy in full swing, it was nice to spend a day in town that didn’t involve shopping. It’s amazing how liberating it feels to watch others rush around around like ants, laden with bags while you’re feeling all super relaxed and mellow. .

On Saturday Mr G and I spent the day exploring Aberdeen on foot. We strolled around the quiet streets of the city’s old town, had fun with the interactive exhibits at Aberdeen Art Gallery, ate the best ice cream EVER at @mackies19.2 (Christmas Trifle flavour) and toured a micro distillery that makes fabulous gin. It was a brilliant day and just what we needed before we slipped back into pre-Christmas panic mode. I can highly recommend you give it a try, especially if you can get yourself to Aberdeen for some Christmas Trifle ice cream. 😋💕 @visitabdn .
